Computational Fluid Dynamics or CFD is an expanding area of simulation that is used to simulate fluid flows through any product. CFD allows the fluid mass flow, temperature, pressure, velocity and density all to be examined at all points in the flow field. The interaction of the fluid with the solid boundaries of the parts surrounding those flows can be calculated allowing resultant dynamic forces and temperature fields to be applied to stress analysis.
