Finite Element Analysis or FEA is a vital part of the modern design process but it requires skill, a thorough engineering knowledge base and an understanding of the maths involved for it to be truly useful. With incorrect model conception, boundary conditions or meshing strategies, the results can be in accurate and misleading.

Acrokin’s FEA experience extends back over two decades to a time when computing power very much restricted the complexity of models that could be solved. This taught us the importance of carefully focusing the analysis to the salient point of the design which in turn ensures that it is a cost effective part of the design process for the customer.
Whilst in the majority of problems, FEA conducted is in the linear domain, Acrokin can also offer complete non linear analysis for situations that require it. These might involve advanced contact problems for example, or include non linear materials such as rubber.
